SUSTAINABLE LIVING
The Pyrenees Mountains constitute an ideal setting for sustainable and holistic living.
The intensity and frequency of sunshine makes solar power both practical and
economically viable - an important element of sustainability. The large source of
thermal water is another gift of nature, providing an enormous energy source at minimal
cost. Sanilles is also set in a sheltered, south facing site, which makes growing a
large variety of fruit and vegetables possible even at this high altitude.
So, all the passive ingredients for a sustainable lifestyle already exist. The
active ingredients are our own commitment, training, impulse and passions.
At Sanillés we aim to create a centre for sustainable living, providing an
environment for those going through a major life challenge or crisis. We aim to
offer our visitors refreshment, support and guidance for renewal, healing and
creativity. The International Therapeutic
Institute of Catalunya (ITIC) is a
charity registered in Barcelona. The charity stands alongside the family company.
